As a retired Naturopathic Doctor with 36 years of experience and a special interest in the Mind-Body connection, I have learned that the minds of men and women are fundamentally different. I’m not referring to brain structure, intelligence, brain power, or equality issues. Instead, I’m focusing on how men and women approach life issues—how their minds collect and interpret data differently.
At no time in human history has it been more confusing to identify as “male” or “female.” A quick scroll through TikTok reveals that many young men are utterly lost. They have no clear understanding of what it means to be a “man” in today’s society, and unfortunately, there are few role models to guide them. Making matters worse, a prevalent narrative among young women seems to place blame on men for nearly everything. This ingrained misandry—“a dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against men”—is a dangerous and misleading perspective. According to Google, this narrative evolved during the second wave of feminism in the 1970s. Based on my understanding of how our Subconscious Minds work, this mindset is not only counterproductive but also detrimental to both genders.
The Truth About Fear and The Subconscious Mind
Fear exists in two forms: real and imagined. The imagined variety of fear stems from subconscious programming received early in childhood. Through decades of practice, I have seen firsthand how powerful subconscious programming is and how it impacts the daily lives of both men and women. Our “reality” is a reflection of the subconscious programs we allow to run—it is how we create our lives.
Make no mistake: this is how reality, as we know it, is created. Approximately 95% of who we are and what we do in life is dictated by the Subconscious Mind—our Emotional and Automatic mind. Only about 5% of our actions are driven by our Conscious Mind. The majority of our responses to life come from the depths of our subconscious.
The Biggest Myth About Being a Woman
A prevalent myth about women is that they are overly emotional and non-rational. The truth is far more nuanced. The Subconscious Mind is generally associated with the Right Hemisphere of the brain, while the Left Hemisphere is linked to the Conscious Mind. While both men and women have access to both sides of the brain, they process information differently.
Women typically access the Right Hemisphere (or Emotional filter) first during initial data input. Men, conversely, process initial data through the Logical filter first. This doesn’t mean that women are incapable of logic or that men lack emotion. Instead, it is akin to leading with your right or left foot when walking. You need both feet to reach your destination, but your approach will differ based on which foot you lead with.
The Key to Creating a New Reality
Just like the computers we use daily, our minds are programmed. While we have a choice regarding which programs we allow to run, there is a catch. It is up to the Conscious Mind to become aware of the existing programs and take deliberate action. We must take control of our Subconscious Mind, reprogramming it to align with our desired goals and create the reality we want.
Key Takeaways
- Men and Women Process Information Differently: To understand the mind of a man, a woman must first recognize that men and women differ in how they collect and interpret data.
- Reality Reflects Subconscious Programs: The world we experience is a direct manifestation of our subconscious programming.
- Subconscious Programs Can Be Gender-Specific: Men and women often carry different subconscious patterns that influence their fears, needs, doubts, and feelings.
- Taking Control of the Subconscious Mind: To become the best version of herself, a woman must align her Subconscious Mind with the reality she wishes to create.
Conclusion
Understanding these fundamental differences can pave the way for healthier relationships and personal growth. By becoming more aware of our subconscious programming and how it affects our actions and perceptions, we can take conscious control of our lives, creating a more harmonious and fulfilling reality for both men and women.
I do believe that women and men are from the same Source. They are equal in value but are certainly different in manifestation. Let’s honour these differences, understand them and utilize them to create the life and relationships that all of us deserve.
